This windowsill is very cute and looks sturdy (for my 10 pound cat). I like its adjustability, and the fabric is detachable and washable. But please ensure that your window seal has an opening/shelf and is not completely sealed. This is my mistake. I also noticed a crack on the wood at one of the screws, so be careful when tightening. I may be able to solve this problem with some wood glue. Also, be aware that the wood is not polished, so if you have anything close to it, it will get stuck in your curtains. Unfortunately, this is not very suitable for my window decoration: the curved bottom legs only partially rest on the decoration. Metal brackets will not be placed under closed windows. The functionality of metal brackets largely depends on the tight fit between your window and the window sill. So I didn't cancel any of them, I think I will personally try it out and see how it works – if there are multiple jobs, I am happy to keep two or more for other windows< But none of them are suitable< This distance is about a quarter inch high enough from my threshold/apron (as shown in the picture)< I tried to add washers between the bracket and the frame, but I needed too many washers to secure the short wing screws, which made me feel uneasy. I'm not sure if I want to return this yet, but if it * does * fit, it looks very sturdy and beautiful. The seat I ordered has a hollow design on the leg, but what I received was a solid piece of wood with only a dyed design on the leg. So I'm glad this actually matches the advertisement.

I really like the way this bed is made, not other beds that involve suction cups. The only real drawback is that the fabric it comes with uses Velcro to secure it around the pole. It also feels a bit rough to the touch. When my cat jumps or moves on it, it makes some strange sounds that shock him. If it were a sliding cloth cover, like any other I’ve seen, secured with a zipper on one side, I think it would be a great bed. Even a fabric cover sewn and slid over each pole. Overall, this price is a good small bed. 4/5 stars. If it were designed with better fit and different fabrics, it would be 5.

The parts are assembled quickly, but I suggest you watch the assembly video first, which will help make the instructions easier to follow. This product is easy to assemble together. Ensure that your threshold channel has an uninterrupted length of at least 28 inches. The hook at the end hooks into the window sill channel. My window has sliding glass panels, and when closed, there is not enough space between the bottom sill and the window glass to install hooks. Therefore, in order for me to effectively use this perch, the window glass must be opened so that I can use it according to the instructions. The thickness of the hook is about 1/16 inch, so you need to leave enough clearance on the window track to use this perch when the window is closed. If you have at least 28 inches of open passage with the windows closed, then you should have no problem.

I bought XL size because some of my cats are bigger in size. It is of perfect size and easy to assemble and place on windows. Wooden frames give a warmer feeling than all metal ones. The lid is soft and sturdy. I’m worried that the Velcro won’t be able to secure the lid to the frame, but when they jump up, it hardly moves. My cat is very particular about everything, likes it, and keeps it as its own. I plan to buy a few more for our other windows. I would definitely recommend it.

Contrary to the images on the product page and the assembly instructions on the hard copy paper accompanying the product packaging, the metal hook should have 4 holes for adjustment. Actually, only 2 metal hooks were received instead of 4, so they are not adjustable< Cat habitats like this should have the adjustability advertised, as suitability and customization are crucial for safety and stability. Only 2 holes mean that if the threshold width requires only one screw to extend the positioning of the hook, the stability of the habitat is poor. It needs to be used together with two screws< If they reply to this comment or if I just sent them an email with the correct section, I will modify this 2-star review. At least they should edit digital images and paper assembly instructions to accurately reflect the hooks.
