My current internet speed is about 300 Mbps, however since my home is made of cement, it may sometimes be quite difficult to obtain a strong connection. To yet, this device has connected to my current wifi and established itself as a router to ensure that there are no dead spots at the opposite end of my house. I checked the speed with my phone, laptop, and PC connected to it, and it was barely reaching 20Mbps. Significantly different from my 300Mbps. My phone was the only device exhibiting a speed problem; my laptop and PC seemed to be functioning OK. I haven’t had any issues with unstable internet until yet. Granted, I haven’t used it extensively enough to run many programs at once or engage in video chat on my PC.(br>It’s rather simple to set up, although I had to attempt five times since I feared there would be a problem with the Mbps, but it turns out that’s all there is to it.(br>(br>Remember that it only supports 2.5 GHz, not 5 GHz.

    Although the signal strength was much enhanced by the device, it is still dependent on the distance to the PC. The device was positioned in several places between the PC and the router. Twelve Mbps was the highest speed attained. Without the device, the speed is 100 Mbps. Although the device could link you to a dead spot (problem area), you shouldn’t depend on it to use your router’s available speed. The unit came back.

    To finish the installation, I hooked this up in my living room roughly ten feet away from my router. Upon doing a speed test I was getting 200 megabits per second from my router and only 20 megabits per second from the extender. I then placed it 25 feet from the router so I could reach my patio 50 ft away. I was still getting 25 megabits per second from my router on the patio but only 12 megabytes per second from the extender that was 25 ft closer. My hope was to increase the megabits per second to my patio by using the extender It failed to do so. It could be because I have a dual band router I’m not for sure this device isn’t only does 2.4 MHz.

Nothing improves the WiFi strength even though I’ve tried placing it in various locations, such as adjacent to the router and halfway between. It is not sufficiently quicker when using an Ethernet connection to make the purchase worthwhile.

Setting up the extender was rather simple; the admin interface discovered the network and requested my password. I’ve tried many times to reset the repeater and even my network’s password to make sure there are no mistakes. The same thing happened each time: I was able to connect to the repeater network without any issues, but it was unable to establish an internet connection. I’m not sure whether there’s a problem with my network specifically (I kept it to 2.4 band to make things simple) or if the device itself is defective. Support did note that even when the 5GHz band is turned off, it sometimes doesn’t function with more recent routers.

Even after I checked my internet connection, my television, which is less than a year old, consistently said, You have a fast internet connection. Thus far, the buffering has been enhanced by the extender. Though it’s not flawless, I’m receiving much less of it. We’ll find out in time. Additionally, I observed that it prevented my phone from losing internet while I was outdoors on a patio. I would advise you to fix your connectivity issues and provide clearer setup instructions. When attempting to connect an extension, use airplane mode on your phone to cut off mobile data (something the instructions don’t mention).

    I got this expressly to fix a Ring camera that wasn’t connecting to my wifi. The setup instructions are not very good, and there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of troubleshooting. I can only see one positive aspect of this: the customer service is excellent.The passage continues.But it would not connect at all to a Ring camera. The camera just refused to connect to the extender after I tried for more than an hour. It receives a one-star rating since that is the main reason I purchased it (and it was suggested when I searched for Ring camera WiFi extender).(br>(br>I ultimately had to pay extra for Ring’s range extender and chime. Thus, just purchase the one Ring sells if you’re here to get a Ring system.

    I purchased this to increase my wifi’s coverage area. It establishes a connection to your configuration and generates a new access point with the prefix plus. I’ve just observed a reduction in range and connectivity. Really, I did all the steps, too. Even when I stepped outdoors, the network connection was weak even though I was still able to extend my regular wifi. Perhaps I’m just unfortunate, but think about what it’s really doing. It never works properly and keeps switching me back to my home network when sites and other things fail to load. I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from.

    Erroneous advertising. described as 600 Mbps and built in the USA. 300 Mbps, made in China. I was able to connect to the network with my phone when my PC did not work. It was challenging to connect at first, but it was soon fixed. Seems to operate as intended. The signal from the TV to the router seems to be stronger than it was. I’m happy with the extender right now and hope it lasts a long time.

    I used this device to utilize the Ethernet port outside and extend the wifi. Apart from that, it worked okay, however there were cutting in and out problems. My wifi was significantly slowing down, so I had to unplug it to keep the quality of my internet intact. If your internet can manage it, which mine couldn’t, then it should work. I wouldn’t advise utilizing it unless you absolutely must have a distant internet connection.

The signal seems to be OK but isn’t as strong as I had anticipated.(br> It’s not what I had anticipated purchasing; it creates a second network that requires logging in; you can’t just go into a different part of the home and remain connected; you have to join in to a separate network using the same password, which is still annoying.(br>Furthermore, I’ll have to review what I got since I mistakenly believed it to support two networks, but it doesn’t.(br>I’ll probably try this in my shop, which is about a hundred feet away from the home, and see what else works.(br>When I attempted to speak with tech support, I was greeted with an email stating that text help was unable to play the audio message. There was no chat window available for me to react in.(br>I’m not happy with what I bought.(br>I was using one of my old Linksys routers as an extension, and it worked wonderfully until a storm wiped it out. I probably won’t return it, but I will be more cautious about extenders going ahead. It seems reasonable to pay $100 for a smooth connection setup as an extension rather than $40 for troublesome log-ins.(br>This product needs more truthful marketing.(br>The network is extended; however, you must log in to the new network. Because you have to switch networks, you can’t just go from the kitchen to the terrace to have a facetime session because you’ll lose it. Otherwise, as long as you disconnect from your primary network, reconnect to the extended network, and remain stationary, you will have some extra range. Not perfect and not the answer I was told I purchased. Beware of the pitfalls!
